It’s been less than a week that I’ve been doing this blogging thing, and it’s a blast, especially using it as an opportunity to get back in contact with friends I’ve let lapse. (More another time on how we baby boomers have co-opted Facebook et al to our own selfish motives.) And for every 1,000 oysters, you just may get a pearl, like the following sent to me from an old friend with whom I lost touch:
Thanks for including me on the distribution. Like the everyday golfer slant.
Suggest you solicit good/memorable lines heard on the golf course. e.g.
When my partner’s putt went awry during our member-guest, he exclaimed, “Well that didn’t turn out as I planned it…” To which one of our opponents replied, “Yeah, a lot like my son-in-law.” (Thanks to Mike.)
So take this as a request for good/memorable lines heard on the golf course or elsewhere, as well as any thoughts you have that can start a conversation here or will prompt me to riff.
